Meets in H-50 at Lunch on Tuesdays

Tree Harper

Mondays at lunch in G-49
Fridays from 3:30-5pm

Tree Harper meets Mondays at lunch and Fridays after school from 3:30 to 5:00. All are welcome! Tools and gloves are provided. We raise funds through direct donations (contact Ken McKim via [email protected]) and through a wacky beard contest called the Fund Razor. We beautify our campus by picking up litter and leaves, tackling landscaping projects, planting shrubs and trees, pruning and trimming existing plants, and painting and organizing. We’ve planted over 120 new trees so far, with a 97% survival rate. Completed projects include trees along the track, trees along the fire lane, an elm grove, an oak grove, completion of a storage shed for room A-2, flower beds near the bike entrance, a Japanese garden near A-4, four shaded outdoor classroom areas, a succulent garden, a Boulder garden, and much more. Current projects include adding trees to the Oak Grove and improving its flower beds, irrigation of the succulent garden, propagation of certain plant species, and more.

See Mr. McKim in G-48 or contact him at [email protected]
