Freshman Dance
Freshman our 9th Grade dance is happening on May 9th. Dance Tickets are going on the week Apr 28 – May 2. You can purchase them at our Huskie Store at Lunch with cash or online at our Harper Webstore with a card. Tickets are $10 or $8 with an ASB card. All dance tickets must be purchased in advance, no tickets will be sold at the door for the dance. After you buy your ticket you will be given a physical ticket that has a permission slip on it. The permission slip must be signed by the student and parent/guardian and brought to the dance in order to enter. Please email Mr. Greenler at [email protected] if you have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you at the dance!
We are seeing an increase of gum around our campus. As you know gum is not allowed to be chewed at school. We want to keep our spaces clean and respect the hard work that our custodians do. Thank you for your help with that!

CAASPP testing - May 5-9:
7th and 8th grade students will participate in the CAASPP state tests during the week of May 5 -May 9. Additionally, students in 8th grade will take the California Science Test (CAST) during the week of May 12-16 in their science classes.
Students with district issued chromebooks must bring their chromebook and charger the week of testing. Students without a district issued chromebook will be provided one during the testing sessions. To best ensure that your student comes prepared to have the greatest success possible on the assessments, please be sure that they get a good night's rest and have a full breakfast prior to test. Our adjusted school schedule for the testing week is attached to this email.
During the testing block 9th grade students will participate in a variety of fun activities including a Mad City Money simulation and a 9th grade breakfast.

Big Day of Giving Coming Up on Thursday, May 1st
Did you know that Davis Schools Foundation (DSF) is the only non-profit that raises funds for EVERY school in DJUSD? Since 2004, DSF has raised over $4.75 million to provide essential resources that ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Thanks to many generous donors, DSF is able to present a large grant to DJUSD each year to spend on much-needed programs. This year, DSF aims to raise funds for Social Emotional Learning Curriculum (used by our counselors and teachers), Small-group Interventions to improve coping skills and healthy decision-making, and other mental health resources that support our students' learning.
You can join DSF’s efforts by participating in the Big Day of Giving, our region’s annual philanthropy giving day. Visit https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/organization/davisschoolsfoundation between now and May 1st to make a meaningful impact on students and educators in our community!
Learn more about DSF on our website or check out our FAQ page for a quick overview of what DSF is about!
