Field Trip Drivers
Our program is greatly enhanced by numerous curriculum-related field trips during the school year. If you are willing to drive on field trips, you must follow the procedures listed below.
We strictly adhere to several precautions for the safety of your child. Therefore, it is important to register in the office as a volunteer field trip driver early each school year. You must complete the field trip driver form, copies of you driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
Parent Driver Forms are now online!
It's just a few easy steps:
- Access the Parent Driver Form and log in with your name and email address
- Fill out all of the highlighted areas on page 1 (include all your students in the district)
- Electronically sign page 2 by typing your name
- Scroll to the end of the form, click on 'Add Attachments' and upload a copy of your CA Driver's License and current auto insurance card.
- Hit Submit.
*If your auto insurance expires before the end of the sport season or end of school year, you will need to provide updated copies directly to Marjorie Britton in the main office who will upload the copy for you. You will not be able to re-access your form once it has been submitted.
Field Trip Driving Safety Rules
No siblings, guests, or pets are allowed on field trips. We ask parents not to make changes once teachers have assigned drivers and passengers. All students of any age must be in the back seat. Students under 8 years old must be appropriately secured in a car seat or booster seat. All passengers and drivers must wear appropriate seatbelts. Drivers must refrain from all cell phone use while driving, even hands-free. Drivers should obey all posted speed limits and all traffic laws, follow the planned route to and from the field trip destination, and make no unauthorized stops. Thank you for your help ensuring the students’ safety and education!
